I suppose this is what it means when you order from Chinese websites and buyer beware, BUT;

We ordered a 5 inch hdmi screen from a seller on aliexpress. It said specifically for hdmi, and for us, that means it’ll work with any hdmi source. Not quite true, just so you know. They offer custom images and drivers, which is actually very helpful, but it’s not the best if you expected to plug in any random hdmi source and expect a video. You have to plug in the SPI connections AND the hdmi connections. It’s weird, but you can’t just plug in any random hdmi signals, and expect it to work. I was caught off guard because I expected it to work like a normal monitor, but it’s not. You’ll need the custom image to have it run, but once you do the hoopla, it works. And it’s not bad, so…I guess it’s a win. Now to 3d print a case for it…
