So I got a new laptop, yea yea I know.

Anyways, it’s a new laptop, so it’s a new opportunity to try and re-download all the programs I need. One of the benefits of this is that when you download the programs, sometimes you get rid of all the digital clutter that’s on your old laptop. For instance, I downloaded repetier again-for my 3d printer. And this time, this laptop likes the cura engine better. I have attempted to use cura in the past, and it’s gone ok, but I haven’t been overly impressed by my old laptop’s settings.

Whoa.

There’s a difference, and I’m starting to really like the cura slicer a whole lot better than the old slic3r engine. Plus it’s way more efficient with my printer than slic3r. It moves faster and it just works better. Similar to the digital ghosts post of last time, this is just the benefits that come with cleaning out your stuff, both in your home and digitally. It doesn’t pay to be a hoarder….
